Kohler RCA Air-Cooled Standby Generators
Kohler’s RCA and RCAL home standby generators include models from 14kW to 26kW and include packages with the generator and an automatic transfer switch. Kohler introduced this line with a new set of available colors and camoflage patterns for the 14kW, 20kW, and 26kW generators.
Standby Generators bundled with a 200-amp service entrance rated automatic transfer switch (required for installation) are a good fit for homes with a 200-amp main circuit breaker panel. For large homes, especially those with more than one air conditioner, the 26RCAL-200SELS 26kW Generator offers 26kW on propane and 24kW running natural gas. Mid-size to large homes use the Kohler 20kW 20RCAL-200SELS generator with 20kW running on propane and 18kW on natural gas. Smaller to mid-size homes get plenty of power from the Kohler 14kW generator 14RCAL-200Sels with 14kW on propane and 12kW on natural gas.
10kW and 12kW RES Home Standby Generators
The 10kW and 12kW RESV are great for powering small homes or just the essentials in a power outage. Small and compact, they take up less space and use less fuel than the larger RCA generators. The 12RES is a 12kW Kohler generator designed for home backup or off-grid applications to backup a solar power energy bank. Many standby manufacturers require utility power at the installation site. Kohler designed the 12RES for on or off-grid applications.
